Château Materre

This 17th-century property is located within the district of Cénac, a small winegrowing village along the Way of Saint James pilgrimage route. Château Materre is named after one of Napoleon’s generals, who acquired the estate in 1797, just prior to setting off on the Egyptian expedition. In 1823, the château was purchased by the Duvert family, who oversaw the vineyard until 2005, when it was entrusted to the Gonfrier family. Today, the two families work together to preserve the property's unique identity and continue its development.
