The conversion to organic agriculture of a portion of our vineyards testifies to our commitment to and respect for the environment. The ecological practices put in place also act as references for the day-to-day operations carried out throughout our vineyards.
The organically cultivated site overlooks the Garonne River and covers 26 hectares. The wine thus produced is marketed under Château Laurétan, an estate acquired in 2004 by Eric and Philippe Gonfrier. The 2013 vintage was the first organically certified vintage for Château Laurétan. Each year, independent audits guarantee that the vineyard respects the demanding standards which must be met for organic agricultural certification. The vines are treated using only natural products.
A top quality terroir combined with these environmentally- and vine-friendly practices allow us to obtain an exceptionally subtle wine offering silky, tight tannins, with wonderful freshness and minerality.
