Iliadis

Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux

ILIADIS is a creation of VIGNOBLES GONFRIER. It is the reflection of longstanding viticultural and family know-how, with precise practices at the service of our terroirs. ILIADIS comes from a magnificent, sunny hillside at Château de Pic, made up of warm gravel on clay with a shallow limestone subsoil, allowing excellent natural drainage. This plot, planted exclusively with Cabernet Sauvignon, benefits from a high density of 6 600 vines per hectare. This density enables the wine to reveal the full expression of the Pic terroir. The richness of the terroir and the winemaking methods used give this wine a subtle blend of power and finesse.

The wines are made from grapes grown on vineyards certified as High Environmental Value (HVE3), and we are committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach, certified by Ecovadis.

Vinification : The Cabernet Sauvignon has been harvested with the greatest care to preserve all the freshness of the grapes and reveal their varietal notes. The wine was then vinified entirely in whole bunches in new, one-year-old French barrels.

Ageing : In French oak barrels for 18 months, with 1/3 in new barrels.

Tasting notes :

Dark red color with intense, brilliant highlights. The delicate nose opens with aromas of small black fruits (blackcurrants, blackberries and crunchy berries) and continues with subtle empyreumatic notes.
